Directed by Charlie Kaufman
Interesting fact, this film is my 1000th logged film on Letterboxd, and I have to say, I couldn't have picked a better film to be my 1000th. First time I watched it, I was completely baffled. Upon re-watching it, I can safely say how much I love this film. This film touched me on a deep level it made me laugh, it made me cry, it depressed me, and it made me have an existential crisis, so Thanks Mr. Kaufman for that. The film’s brilliant performances, and Kaufman's use of absurdism and surrealism worked really well with the film’s thought-provoking screenplay. Word of warning, this film is not for everyone, and you might think that it is pretentious, but on the other hand you might think that it is genius. If you do decide to watch it, I recommend watching it twice, for everything to fully piece together.
My rating: 10/10
