Directed by Joel and Ethan Coen
Starring: Frances McDormand
The plot follows a car salesman in Minneapolis, who hires two criminals to kidnap his wife. Things don't exactly go to plan.
What a film. It's no question, that the Coen brothers are brilliant writers and directors. Their filmography features a variety of fantastic films, from the cult classic Big Lebowski, to the tragicomedy Inside Llewyn Davis, to the dark gritty neo-Western No Country for Old Men. Fargo is no exception. It's original story, coupled with it's great performances, and perfect blend of black-comedy and crime makes this film an exciting and hilarious watch. Oh yeah, there is also a TV series of the same name, so if you did enjoy the series, you'll definitely love the film, or vice versa.
My rating: 10/10
