Directed by Josh Cooley

Starring: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, Tony Hale

The plot follows Sheriff Woody and Buzz Lightyear, among their other toy friends, as they have found new appreciation after being given by Andy to Bonnie. They are introduced to Forky, a spork that has been made into a toy, and embark on a road trip adventure.

Why are all my childhood films ending? To be fair, I admired Toy Story 3's ending, but still liked the idea of a Toy Story 4. When Toy Story 4 was announced, I was met with mixed emotions, but all those went away when it released weeks back. I thought the film was great and enjoyable, although I can say that it was not my favorite Toy Story film.

The plot is simple and easy to follow, but quite familiar to the other films, and that in return can be seen as repetitive. The characters that we all remember and love are back, alongside the new toy "Forky" who was brilliantly voiced by Tony Hale (Arrested Development). As usual, the cast was brilliant and their chemistry shows once again. Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and the man of the month, Keanu Reeves were all great as well. In general, the film was pretty enjoyable with some pretty funny moments.

Visually the film was excellent. The animation once again was phenomenally done, but you really don't expect anything less from a great animation studio such as Pixar. Music was decent, but nothing really special.

In conclusion, a great sequel, that is both heart-whelming and enjoyable, but not really my favorite of the franchise. I am glad they closed the franchise well, and hope this sincerely is the end of the Toy Story franchise. Not going to lie, the nostalgic part of me cried that night, but like Andy, we all grow up and move on. An emotional end to a great franchise, one that will leave you satisfied.

A note I want to mention for those who haven't seen my Instagram story post. I will be traveling on Friday (June 12) for summer holiday, and will not be posting much full reviews for a month (I will be doing the Midsommar and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood full reviews when I get back. Any film, apart from those two that I see, will be quick reviewed. It's been a slow 2 weeks, but I will be posting my Far From Home review really soon, thank you for being patient :)

My rating: 8.5/10
