Well, first of all I would like to thank the KFCA (Kuwait Film Critics Association) and Vox Cinemas for inviting me to the exclusive premiere to the movie, it was an amazing experience.

The movie had a stupid plot, and while that may seem futile, it was quite fun to watch, if taken seriously, the film was quite awful. the screenplay suffered through it's many plot holes and predictable story-line. The acting was sub par at best even if Dwayne Johnson was at the center of it, and were not fleshed out in anyway.
The scenery however was interesting, I really liked the futuristic/scientific approach they took by immersing us into this futuristic tower. The movie felt really reminiscent of other disaster films, most noticeably Die Hard. it was dumb, but funny dumb, similar to The Rock's previous films such as Rampage or San Andreas, but this was far more enjoyable.
Nothing much else could be said about this movie, if you are going into the theater hoping you will get a movie with a plot that can amaze you, prepare to be disappointed. Otherwise, if you are going in to view this as any other ordinary summer blockbuster popcorn-movie, then you'll have fun. Stupid movie, but enjoyable and watchable.
My rating: 5.5/10
