The story surrounds a concierge who teams up with one of his employees to prove his innocence after he is framed for murder.

The film is just brilliant. There’s really nothing I can say more, that word literally describes the film perfectly, and who would expect otherwise, from a magnificent director such as Wes Anderson?

The story is just funny and innovative. This is just another Wes Anderson film with the same formula of having a movie with a somewhat cartoony soundtrack and tone that does well to please both the audience and the critics. Wes Anderson, the same director who made films such as Isle of Dogs and Fantastic Mr. Fox, made the movie look ridiculous, but with his talented mind and endless imagination, he made it look really good.

The acting was fantastic by everyone and had some funny segments with actors such as Adrien Brody and Jeff Goldblum.

The cinematography done by Robert Yeoman was brilliant and matched the cartoony tone of the film with its vibrant and unique with warm orange and yellow tints as Wes wanted it to look like the 30’s. Wes Anderson also reuses his classical high angle and wide angle shots.

The soundtrack was done brilliantly by Alexandre Desplat who also captures that silly cartoony feel to the movie, and makes it a joy to watch.

Wes Anderson didn’t just create a film, he created a world. And with that world, everything we see on the picture was his design, from the streets, to the hotel, to the shops within the city. The movie didn’t lack in any detail, as it felt like an immersive world to live in, with interesting characters and a unique presentation.

A fantastic film with a great presentation, by a mastermind of visuals and narratives. An impressive, and an enjoyable film. If you have not seen it, then what are you? But seriously, go now and watch it, you won't regret it.
