Directed by Scott Derrickson
Starring: Benedict Cumberbatch, Mads Mikkelsen
Well, since Black Panther was just released, and I will probably not see it until the Blu-ray release, I’ve decided to watch one of the first entry’s on my backlog, Doctor Strange.
First, I would like to say for all the superhero/comic book movies, I am NOT judging the movie based on the interpretation of the characters in the comic books, but merely the actual movie itself.
First of all, it was entertaining, and was enjoying to watch. The acting was good, Cumberbatch can work more on his American accent, and Mads was once again a really good villain.
An issue I had with this movie was it felt too short, and as a result the story-line felt rushed and all answers are left in for a possible sequel.
The soundtrack was good, and the visuals were fantastic, props to the visual team for putting together such a immersive and jaw dropping experience.
Other than that, it was a typical superhero movie, that lacked only in story, which could have been told a lot better.
My rating: 7.5/10
